The program starts with Franz Schubert’s beloved masterpieces, the FourImpromptus, Op. 90, followed by his grandiose Wanderer Fantasy. The second half of the progam will create an intriguing connection between the two composers with Two Piano Transcriptions of Schubert songs by Franz Liszt. These delightful lyrical German Art songs by Schubert become true virtuosic piano works in the hands of the Hungarian master pianist that was Franz Liszt. The program will conclude with one of Poghoysan’s main specialties – Liszt’s fiery & passionate Transcendental Etudes – Wilde Jagd, Paysage & Etude in F Minor No. 10, & his renowned Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12.
