Hosted by Opportunity Music Project – www.opportunitymusicproject.org & the Davis Projects for Peace – www.davisprojectsforpeace.org.
Together In Music is a summer chamber music program hosted by Opportunity Music Project that explores chamber music’s capacity to serve as a model & method of peacemaking. Created through a grant from the Davis Projects for Peace, Together In Music offers elementary through high school aged music students in New York City the opportunity to learn & work together in small chamber groups, while developing their leadership abilities & nurturing a passion for using music as a form of positive dialogue. This concert, celebrates the program’s first year, showcases the work of students & faculty participants, & hopes to engage the public in an exploration of the power of the arts in creating peace.
